About Schrum Plumbing and Heating Company
After many years of teaching plumbing at New Brunswick Vocational School Ben Schrum decided to open a company of his own. In 1930 Schrum Plumbing and Heating was started out of Ben's home on Carmen Street in New Brunswick. Immediately, Schrum Plumbing was a family business employing both Ben's brother and cousin.
Over the years, Ben's sons and daughters took over and helped make Schrum Plumbing the success it is today. Now with our new location on Somerset Street in New Brunswick, Schrum Plumbing and Heating is owned an operated by Ben's grandsons, Gary and Tommy Klinger.
